First Time Homebuyer Program

HOW WILL I BENEFIT FROM USING THIS PROGRAM?

  • The City can provide up to $40,000 toward your Down Payment

  • Allows for a 0% interest deferred loan

  • You re-pay ONLY when you sell, take out a home equity loan or refinance the home you purchased

  • This program will enable you to qualify for a higher mortgage amount for the house you purchase, allowing for you to purchase a more valuable home

  • You will gain access to rehabilitation and lead abatement loans available for Quincy and Weymouth locations

The South Shore HOME Consortium’s First Time Homebuyer Program provides 0% interest, deferred payment loans to qualifying households that are purchasing a single-family home, condominium, or townhouse in Quincy, Weymouth, Braintree and Randolph.

This Program is made possible by funding from the HOME Program through the South Shore HOME Consortium – City of Quincy, Town of Weymouth, Town of Braintree and Town of Randolph.

Purchase price for existing units is $606,000 and purchase price for new units is $622,000.
